Jan Hagel Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg yolk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg white
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk, flour and vanilla.
    Spread thinly with spatula on large (approximately 12 x 17-inch) ungreased cookie sheet (with 1/2-inch sides).
    Brush top with unbeaten egg white.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Cut in squares or diamond shapes.
    Remove immediately.
