Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1 cup crisco
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
4 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream sugar and crisco. Beat in well beaten eggs. Add buttermilk and soda. Add flour one cup at a time. Add baking powder. Stir in vanilla. Refrigerate over night. Flour table well. Place a small amount of dough on flour. Sprinkle flour on top and pat out with hand to 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Bake 8 minutes at 350\u00b0.
