Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, cut thin
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 c. thick sour cream
    1 can consomme beef
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
Preparation
    Cut meat into 3/4-inch cubes and dredge with flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
    Brown in hot fat.
    Add remaining ingredients and stir until all ingredients are well blended. Cover skillet and cook until steaming.
    Reduce heat to low and cook 35 to 40 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
