Beef Steak Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    3 c. water
    1/2 c. onion, sliced
    1/2 c. carrots, sliced
    4 medium potatoes, cut in small pieces
    1 stalk celery, diced
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    plain pie crust
Preparation
    Cut steak in 1-inch pieces and brown with the onions in the shortening.
    Add the flour and blend, then add the water, carrots, celery, salt and pepper.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
    Add the potatoes and cook 15 minutes longer.
    Pour into a casserole and cover with pie crust.
    Place in hot oven (450\u00b0) and bake 30 minutes.
