Chili Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 lb. hamburger
1 c. onion, chopped fine
1/4 c. Crisco
1/4 c. chili powder
2 Tbsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 Tbsp. Accent
3 c. boiling water
Preparation

Put hamburger in heavy saucepan with tight lid; cook until tender, about 40 minutes in its own juice, stirring often.
Saute onion and Crisco.
Add chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and Accent.
Add the onion and seasonings to steamed meat.
Add 3 cups of boiling water and stir well.
Cover and allow to simmer 20 minutes.
Cook and fill top of biscuits with chili mixture.
Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over top of chili biscuits.
Put in oven long enough to melt cheese.
Makes 5 dozen.
