Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    2 small vanilla instant pudding
    2 large cans crushed pineapple, drained
    2 cans cherry pie filling
    1 large container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed.
    Break cake in 1/2 and small pieces. Place in bottom of punch bowl.
    Mix 1 package of pudding as directed on box and pour over cake.
    Drain one can of pineapple and pour over pudding.
    Next, put one can cherry pie filling, then 1/2 of Cool Whip.
    Add nuts (if desired).
    Repeat layers and top with nuts and cherries.
