Sauerkraut, Sausage And Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

1 (No. 2 1/2) can sauerkraut
1 medium to large onion, sliced
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
1 lb. smoked sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces
4 medium size potatoes
salt and paprika
Preparation

Pour undrained sauerkraut into a 9 x 12-inch baking dish. Toss with onion and brown sugar.
Bury sausage pieces in sauerkraut.
Peel potatoes; cut in half lengthwise and arrange on top.
Brush with margarine; sprinkle with salt and paprika. Bake at 425\u00b0, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes.
Tightly cover with foil.
Bake until potatoes are cooked through, 20 to 30 minutes. Serve at once from baking dish.
