Pecan Crescents - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    2 c. unbleached flour
    2 c. chopped pecans
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and add sugar, vanilla and water.
    Sift together flour and salt; stir into butter mixture.
    Add pecans and mix thoroughly.
    Using portions about the size of a small walnut, roll into crescent shape.
    Bake in slow oven, 325\u00b0, about 20 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
    It's not Christmas without them.
