Waldorf Astoria Cake(Like A Red Devil'S Food Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 oz. red food coloring
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. flour, sifted 3 times
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, vanilla and coloring. Then add dry ingredients and buttermilk.
Mix vinegar and baking soda; fold in.
Bake two layers at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
