Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 gal. apple cider
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    3 (1-inch) cinnamon sticks
    dash of nutmeg
Preparation
    Put the spices in a cheesecloth bag.
    Drop bag of spices into cider mixture. Slowly bring to boil.
    Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes.
    Serve hot.
