Chicken And Wild Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. broiler
1 large onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. curry
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. sherry
6 oz. pkg. wild long grain rice
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
1 c. cream of mushroom soup
1 c. sour cream
Preparation

Place the first 6 ingredients in a Dutch oven and add enough water to cover chicken.
Heat to boil and cover and reduce heat. Simmer until tender.
Remove chicken from the bones and dice. Reserve 2 1/3 cups broth; use instead of water in cooking rice. Prepare rice and set aside.
Melt butter in skillet and add sliced mushrooms.
Cook until tender.
Place mushrooms and chicken in large bowl.
Stir rice with soup and cream.
Mix well.
Combine with other ingredients.
Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake for 50 minutes, covered, at 350\u00b0.
