Sponge Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. dark corn syrup
1 Tbsp. white vinegar
1 Tbsp. baking soda
chocolate (optional)
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup and vinegar; cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar melts.
Continue cooking without stirring to \"hard crack stage\" (300\u00b0) or becomes very brittle when a drop is placed in cold water (without thermometer).
Remove from heat. Quickly stir in baking soda.
Pour into well-greased pan.
When cool and hard, break into pieces.
Excellent when coated with chocolate!
