Michael'S Favorite Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 1/3 c. butter or oil
    1/2 to 1/3 c. flour
    1 c. chicken broth
    2 c. low-fat milk
    2 c. water
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 turkey ham, diced
    8 medium or 6 large potatoes, diced
    salt and pepper to taste
    dash of garlic powder (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter over low heat and add flour gradually.
    Stir until no longer lumpy.
    Add liquids, gradually stirring.
    Stir until no lumps are left.
    Add next 3 ingredients and season to taste.
    Stir until comes to a boil.
    Lower heat.
    Cover and let simmer until potatoes are done.
    Makes 12 servings.
    Contains 190 calories, 2 grams fat.
