"I Can'T Make A Pie Crust" English Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    4 to 6 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced (about 6 c.)
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
Preparation
    In medium-size bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with electric mixer until pale and fluffy.
    Stir in flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and the water until smooth and thick.
    Stir in pecans.
    Mound apples in 9-inch pie plate.
    Mix granulated sugar with remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
    Spoon pecan topping over apples in dollops.
    Bake on lowest rack in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
    (Apples should be tender when pierced.) Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
    Reheats great in microwave.
