Almond Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter (must be real butter)
    2 c. sugar
    1 lb. blanched or slivered almonds
    1 (9 oz.) Hershey bar
Preparation
    In a saucepan, cook the first 3 ingredients until almonds begin to crack, stirring constantly.
    This takes about 20 minutes. Will turn caramel color.
    With a teaspoon, drop a few drops in a cup of cold water to test for hard crack.
    When hard, a ball or strand forms in a cup of water.
    Pour mixture on greased cookie sheet.
    Cool for 10 minutes.
