Prunella Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sour milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2/3 c. chopped stewed prunes, drained
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cassia
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat eggs well.
    Add
    sugar
    and
    melted shortening and beat again.
    Add well chopped prunes.
    Add milk and sifted dry ingredients.
    Bake in layers for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
