Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 lemon rind
1/4 c. sugar
juice of 1 lemon
Preparation

Beat all ingredients together and add lemon rind.
Pour in greased pan.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Remove from oven; mix 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice and pour over hot bread.
Cool 15 minutes before removing.
