Ingredients

3/4 c. margarine, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. finely crushed potato chips
3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans
3 Tbsp. sugar (for dipping)
pecan or walnut halves (for cookie tops)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. In large mixing bowl, cream margarine, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour, potato chips and chopped nuts. Mix well. Form into 1 1/2-inch balls and place 3-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Grease bottom of a glass about 3-inches in diameter. Dip greased glass into sugar and use to flatten each ball. Place nut half in center of each cookie. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheets. Then cool on wire racks. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
