Chelsea Buns - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. cooled mashed potatoes
1/3 c. melted shortening
2 well beaten eggs
2 1/2 c. Occident flour (approximately)
1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. sugar
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Combine potatoes, water and 1 teaspoon sugar.
Sprinkle yeast on top.
Let stand until bubbly.
Add the rest, stirring in enough flour to make a soft dough (not as stiff as bread dough).
Knead until smooth.
Let rise until double in bulk.
