Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    2 sticks oleo
    1 c. Pet milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bring first 3 ingredients to boil.
    Brown 1/2 cup sugar in iron
    skillet
    and\tpour
    into mixture.
    Cook to soft ball. Add vanilla.
    Beat
    with
    mixer until light color and ready to spread. May use
    as
    fudge
    by
    adding
    nuts and placing in a buttered dish.
    I always use Duncan Hines Butter cake mix.
