German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    2 small onions
    1 tsp. salt
    5 to 6 slices thick bacon, cut into small pieces
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in skin; drain, peel and dice.
    Add onion, salt and sugar.
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Pour bacon and drippings over potatoes.
    Heat vinegar and water to boiling in frypan; pour over potatoes.
    Toss lightly.
    Serves 4 (recommend doubling recipe).
