Apple Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3/4 c. shortening or oleo
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    15 apples, sliced thin
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. cool water
    3 egg yolks, beaten
Preparation
    Beat water and egg yolks together.
    Mix flour, oleo, salt, baking powder, water and egg yolks like crust.
    Mix sugar, 1/3 cup flour and cinnamon and pour over apples to coat.
    Roll crust, put on cookie sheet (with sides) and fill with apple mixture.* Top with crust, prick with fork and bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Dribble confectioners sugar icing when removed from oven while warm.
