Swedish Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. minced onions
    3/4 c. soda cracker crumbs (saltine crackers)
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 large onion, sliced
Preparation
    Combine first seven ingredients.
    Shape into balls with tablespoon, adding more milk if needed.
    Brown in hot skillet until nearly cooked.
    Add to meat.
    Add 2 cups hot water in skillet. Salt water to taste.
    Pour over meatballs.
    Cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
