Bean And Bacon Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dried beans
3 qt. water
10 slices bacon
2 c. chopped potatoes
2 c. chopped carrots
4 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
2 c. onions
2 c. celery
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 qt. tomato juice
Preparation
-
Rinse beans and soak in 3 quarts water.
Fry bacon until crisp and add to beans.
Cook onions in bacon drippings until soft.
Add to beans along with drippings.
Add all the other ingredients. Boil soup to a boil until vegetables are soft.
Remove bay leaf. Put in jars and pressure cook 10 pounds for 30 minutes.
