Apple Cake Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
7/8 c. oil (3/4 c. plus 1 tsp.)
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. finely chopped apples (about 2 apples)

Preparation

Beat the sugar, eggs and oil until creamy.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; add to creamed mixture. Fold in the chopped apples.
Bake in a well-greased 9 x 13 1/2-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
When almost cool, cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
