Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (6 oz.) cans clams
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 c. diced potatoes
    3/4 c. butter
    1-1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    pepper to taste
    3/4 c. flour
    1 quart Half and Half
Preparation
    Add all vegetables to pan and add enough water to cover.
    Cook until potatoes are tender.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Melt butter and add flour, blending until smooth.
    Add half and half and keep stirring until thick and smooth.
    Add to the vegetables and add clams.
    (Don't boil with the clams or they will become tough.)
