V-8 Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 (4 oz.) cans vegetable juice cocktail
Preparation
    Combine flour, soda, salt and sugar in medium bowl; mix well. Cut in shortening until crumbly.
    Add enough juice to form soft dough.
    Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic.
    Roll 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut with biscuit cutter.
    Place on greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until brown.
    Yield: 18 servings.
