Beef Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat
    8 c. chicken broth
    4 c. water
    1 1/4 c. uncooked barley
    3 beef bouillon cubes
    1 c. celery
    1 c. carrots
    1 c. onion
    1 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Using a 5-quart pot, cook beef in the chicken broth and water until tender. Skim off fat. Cut beef into small pieces and return to pot. Add bouillon cubes and pepper.
    Add carrots, celery, onion and barley.
    Simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until vegetables and barley are tender. Makes 14 cups.
