Edinburgh Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 oz. self-rising flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 oz. butter
    1/2 c. currants
    1 egg
    milk
Preparation
    Mix together dry ingredients, then rub in butter and add fruit. Combine egg and milk and add to dry mixture to form a soft dough. Knead on a lightly floured board.
    Roll out and cut into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
    Bake in the oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
