Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
2 c. boiling water
3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. nuts
2 pinches baking powder
Preparation

Cook first 3 ingredients until it forms a medium hard ball in cold water.
Beat next 3 ingredients and set aside until syrup cooks.
Put a pinch of baking powder in while you are beating the egg whites and then another when you put your syrup in your egg whites.
Pour very slowly over egg whites, then beat as long as you can with the beater and beat with your hand until real thick. Spoon out on wax paper and let cool.
