Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg (or 2 egg whites or egg substitute equivalent to 1 egg)
    2 Tbsp. skim milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. all purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    granulated sugar
Preparation
    Beat margarine, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla together until light and fluffy.
    Stir in flour and baking powder, mixing well. Chill dough thoroughly.
    Roll small portions of dough at a time on a lightly floured board.
    Using a cookie cutter, cut out shapes, sprinkle with sugar and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 about 8 minutes.
    Cool and store in tightly covered containers.
    Makes 4 dozen.
