Egg Nog - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
6 to 7 c. milk
1-1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. whipping cream
rum (optional)*
Preparation

In a very large bowl, beat egg yolks with sugar at low speed until blended, then at high speed until lemon colored. Fold in milk and nutmeg. Beat egg whites in a medium bowl until soft peaks form. In a separate bowl beat whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Fold both into milk mixture, leaving some lumps. Pour into a chilled punch bowl, sprinkle with additional nutmeg. Makes 19 eight ounce servings or 38 four ounce servings.
