Sauerkraut Dumplings(Hungarian Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    2 c. sauerkraut, drained
Preparation
    Grate potatoes; add egg and salt with enough flour to make a thick dough.
    Drop by tablespoon into a pot of boiling water. Cook about 10 minutes.
    Drain.
    Rinse with cold water.
    Melt shortening in large frying pan.
    Add drained sauerkraut.
    Brown. Add dumplings.
    Cook until dumplings are heated through, about 10 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
