Onion Cheese Supper Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 onion, chopped
    3 Tbsp. margarine, divided
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk baking mix
    1 c. sharp cheese, shredded
    1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
Preparation
    Cook onion in 1 tablespoon margarine until transparent. Combine egg and milk and add to baking mix.
    Stir just until moistened.
    Add cooked onion and half of the shredded cheese. Spread dough in greased 8-inch square pan.
    Sprinkle top with remaining cheese and poppy seeds.
    Drizzle 2 tablespoons melted margarine all over.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20-25 minutes.
    Cut in squares while hot and serve.
