"8-Minute Light'N Fruity Pie" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. Jell-O
    2/3 c. boiling water
    2 c. ice cubes
    3 1/2 c. or 8 oz. Cool Whip
    fruit (optional)
    8 or 9-inch graham cracker crumb crust
Preparation
    Completely dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, stirring about 3 minutes.
    Add ice cubes and stir constantly, until Jell-O is thickened, about 2 or 3 minutes.
    Remove any unmelted ice.
    Using wire whip, blend in Cool Whip, then whip until smooth.
    Fold in fruit.
    Chill, if necessary, until mixture will mound.
    Spoon into pie crust.
    Chill for 3 hours.
