Chocolate Nut Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar and butter.
    Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until candy thermometer reaches 300\u00b0.
    Spread mixture onto wax paper lined pan.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot candy.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Spread melted chocolate evenly over candy.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Cool completely.
    Break into pieces.
