Prize Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
    5 eggs
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
Preparation
    Gradually add sugar to shortening; cream until light and fluffy.
    Blend in vanilla and cooled, melted chocolate.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
    Bake in 3 layers at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Frost to your liking.
