Senior Citizens Cake(Low-Fat And Sugar-Free) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dates, chopped
    1 c. prunes, chopped
    1/4 c. margarine
    4 egg whites
    15 oz. applesauce
    1/2 c. pecans (optional)
    1 c. raisins
    2 c. water
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Place fruit, margarine and water in saucepan and bring to a boil; simmer 2 minutes.
    Cool.
    Sift dry ingredients together. Add egg whites, applesauce, vanilla and nuts to dry ingredients. Add fruit mixture to batter and bake at 325\u00b0 in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan sprayed with Pam.
    Cake needs to be wrapped and kept refrigerated.
