Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. scalded milk
Preparation
    Beat eggs just to mix (a good foam).
    Gradually add sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Add scalded milk last.
    (Do not let milk boil.) Pour into a deep pie pan and sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Bake 5 minutes at 450\u00b0.
    Reduce heat to 400\u00b0 and bake 25 minutes (until set).
