Toad In The Hole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. tender beef steak
    2 eggs
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cut steak in 1-inch cubes; season with salt and pepper.
    Place in a shallow baking dish, which has been well-greased.
    Spread beef cubes apart so that batter will form between them.
    Make a batter of remaining ingredients and pour over cubes, allowing some to leave their \"heads\" out.
    Bake in a hot oven at 400\u00b0 to 450\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
