Lemon Cheese Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    juice of 2 lemons
Preparation
    Cream all ingredients with a spoon.
    Pour into top of double boiler.
    Cook on medium-high heat, stirring often.
    The mixture will become quite thin at first.
    Continue cooking until it thickens almost like custard, sufficient to frost a three layer cake.
    Especially good on a white layer cake.
