Miss Iris' Christmas Rocks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    dash of cloves
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. warm milk
    4 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 lb. chopped dates
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and water.
    Beat well.
    Sift together flour, spices and soda.
    Add to butter and sugar mixture; mix well.
    Stir in pecans and dates.
    Drop by 1/2 teaspoon onto a greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 12 minutes. Store in airtight tin containers.
