Strawberry Dessert(Ann Maloy'S) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1 egg
    1 box confectioners sugar
    juice of 1 lemon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 qt. fresh strawberries or peaches
    1 box vanilla wafers (small), crushed
    1 pt. whipping cream
Preparation
    Spread 1/4-inch layer of vanilla wafer crumbs in a glass 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Mix first 5 ingredients until smooth.
    Spread mixture over crumbs.
    Pile well drained dry fruit over this. Press gently. Spread whipped cream over the fruit.
    Sprinkle remaining vanilla wafer crumbs on top.
    Chill overnight. Cut into squares and serve cold.
    Makes 20 servings.
