Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 red sweet peppers
    12 green sweet peppers
    1 pod hot pepper
    6 medium sized onions
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. mixed spices
    2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash and drain vegetables.
    Remove seed from peppers.
    Peel onions.
    Chop all vegetables.
    Cover with boiling water.
    Let stand 5 minutes; drain.
    Cover again with boiling water.
    Let stand 10 minutes; drain.
    Add sugar, salt and spices (tied in bag) to vinegar.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Add vegetables; simmer 10 minutes. Bring to boiling.
    Pack, boiling hot, into hot jars.
    Seal at once.
