Broccoli-Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
    1 c. thinly sliced carrots
    1 c. finely chopped celery
    3 1/2 c. chicken broth
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 c. flour
    3 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. American cheese, grated or cut in small pieces
Preparation
    Steam broccoli, carrots and celery until tender.
    Puree in blender or food processor with 1 1/2 cups chicken broth.
    Pour into large saucepan and add remaining 2 cups chicken broth.
