Pear Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can pimentos
    4 large red peppers
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 tsp. powdered ground (dry) mustard
    2 tsp. turmeric
    1 hot pepper (more if you like it hot)
    4 large green peppers
    2 lb. onions
    4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Peel and grind in food chopper until you have 1 gallon of pears.
    Place in a large pan and add 1 cup salt.
    Let stand 1 hour.
    Squeeze out all juice and then add ingredients.
    Cook for 20 minutes.
    Seal in jars.
