Shrimp Etouffee(Makes 1 Gallon) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. oil
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 bunches green onions, chopped
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
    1 tsp. black pepper
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. dried parsley
    8 c. water
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Preparation
    Brown flour and oil until dark brown (cocoa colored).
    Add onions.
    Stir until clear.
    Add balance of ingredients, except shrimp.
    Bring to boiling; reduce to simmer.
    Cover; cook one hour.
    Add shrimp.
    Cook for 20 minutes longer.
    Serve over rice.
