Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger (lean)
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
    4 tomatoes, diced
    1 medium onion, grated
    1 large head lettuce, torn
    1 (8 1/2 oz.) bag taco chips, crushed
    1 c. Catalina dressing
Preparation
    Brown hamburger; drain hamburger by putting it in a strainer and rinse under water.
    Season with chili powder and pepper.
    Toss all ingredients together with salad dressing.
    Yield:
    16 servings.
    Carbohydrate 19 g, protein 15 g, fat 27 g, calories 379.
    One serving (about 1 cup) = 1 bread starch exchange, 2 meat medium fat exchange, 3 fat exchange.
