Ingredients

1 1/2 c. hazelnuts (about 6 oz.)
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 c. packed dark brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla extract
9 oz. bittersweet chocolate, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Spread nuts on baking tray and bake until fragrant, 6 to 8 minutes.
Place nuts in a dish towel and rub to remove some of the skin.
Coarsely chop and set aside.
