Candied Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium sweet potatoes
1/2 c. rum
3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1/2 c. pancake syrup (Log Cabin)
1/2 c. sugar
cinnamon
Preparation

Boil sweet potatoes until tender and let them cool for 20 minutes.
Peel potatoes and slice them, laying them in a shallow pan.
Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon to cover.
Repeat this procedure again, laying potatoes on top of one another.
Place pieces of margarine to cover the last layer of potatoes.
